 UF TREEO has significantly reduced the environmental impact of this conference by utilizing Green Practices. The Air Contaminants Conference and lodging are being held at a Florida DEP designated Green Lodging hotel.

During this First Annual Air Contaminants Conference attendees will have the opportunity to learn about air contaminants and their effects during construction, renovation and maintenance activities and possible effects on green buildingcompliance. This Conference will also look at the current Health and Regulatory Issues that can be generated from Construction, Renovation and Maintenance Activities in facilities, and their possible effects on compliance with Green Buildings Efforts. There will also be opportunities to learn from the displays and demonstrations of manufactures’ materials and equipment for control of various Air Contaminants.

  • Health Concerns: What are some of the possible contaminants and how are we monitoring for them?
  • Regulatory Issues:  Are there any regulatory requirements for these activities?
  • Construction: Are we considering possible air contamination in the design of facilities?
  • Renovation: Is inspection for all environmental hazards considered on these activities?
  • Demolition: Does this activity eliminate air contaminants?
  • Maintenance: Are we introducing new air contaminants during these activities?
