Authors are invited to submit abstracts in English of not more than 200 words for peer review by the scientific and technical committee by not later than October 15, 2007. Each abstract should indicate the main topic of the conference which the proposed paper will address. Give the name and full contact details of the author to be contacted concerning the paper. Abstracts will be reviewed for relevance to the themes and objectives of the conference; originality of subject matter; likely academic rigor of the proposed paper; and likely contribution to knowledge, or practical relevance, of the proposed paper.
The papers can present various types of information, including information on construction practices that have successfully addressed safety and/or health challenges and research that brings enlightenment about factors that drive or hinder the achievement of safety on construction sites. Papers may also address emerging problems that must be addressed in the areas of construction safety and health. In accord with the theme of the conference, the goal is to highlight how the construction industry has changed and how it may change in the future.
