| Description |
The 1st day of class will give the prospective Green Rater information regarding Building Science and the LEED for Homes Checklist. The 2nd day will cover the LEED for Homes Process.
The Green Rater Training Course focuses on two principals:
- LEED Consultation: A Green Rater must have knowledge of and be able to discuss, the “greening” of a project. Project teams will look to the GR when trying to understand how to make their projects “Green.” The course will provide fundamental knowledge of “Green Building Concepts” with respect to the LEED for Homes Rating System.
- LEED Process: Green Raters must be able to move projects along as they reach for LEED Certification. Any project seeking LEED for Homes Certification must not be delayed due to the certification. The course shall provide GRs with sufficient process knowledge so that the project moves along without delay.
