Description

This online, Internet based course covers such topics as, Introduction to Laboratory Procedures and various types of water analysis procedures including Gravimetric, Potentiometric, Spectrophotometric, and Titimetric. It also includes Microbiological Analysis and Bench Scale Treatment. The course consists of online quizzes and a proctored final exam.

About the Course

Using the Internet, students will gain instruction on the procedures for regulatory sampling and safety, and specific analytical procedures for total residue, fluoride, pH, ammonia, acidity, alkalinity, calcium, chloride, hardness, and coliform analysis. Along with reading assignments from the text, the course is enhanced with up-to-date photographs, interactive exercises, and online links.

Textbook is included in registration fee. We will ship the book to you upon receipt of registration payment. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipping. Utilizes: "Water Treatment Plant Operations", Vol. I and II, CSUS Foundation; and "Simplified Procedures for Water Examination", American Water Works Association.

Who Should Attend

Designed for individuals dealing with water analysis. It is intended for consulting engineers and scientists; water utility personnel including superintendents, managers, and operators from moderate size and larger utilities; engineers and scientists from state and federal water regulatory agencies; and engineers and scientists from various industries serving drinking water analysis.
