Description

This course identifies and describes the various processes used to control iron and manganese. It explains how to collect samples for analysis or iron and manganese and how to troubleshoot red water problems. The course also describes how to safely operate and maintain the following iron and manganese control processes: phosphate treatment, ion exchange, oxidation by aeration, oxidation with chlorine, oxidation with potassium permanganate, Greensand and proprietary processes.

Text: Water Treatment Plant Operations Vol. II. Textbook is included in registration fee.  We will ship the book to you upon receipt of registration payment.  Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipping.

Who Should Take the Course
This course is recommended for B and C level Water Treatment Plant Operators.

Requirements for Online Courses

  • You should be computer literate and familiar with PC-based systems to participate in the online courses.
  • Prepayment is required before you will receive log-in information, including address and password.
  • You must provide an email address at time of registration/payment.
  • Courses must be completed within six months from date of registration. Certificate will be issued on the date you pass the final exam.
