Description
This course is held in conjunction with MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Inc. This initial three day course has been granted full approval by the EPA and the State of Florida to meet AHERA/ASHARA requirements and is required for persons who wish to design asbestos response actions for friable asbestos-containing building material (ACBM) in schools or public and commercial buildings. This requirement is for general response actions as well as major fiber release episodes and maintenance activities which disturb friable ACBM. In addition to practical instruction, this course provides a building walk-through inspection which allows for a better understanding of abatement design.
This course is required for persons who wish to design asbestos response actions for friable asbestos-containing building material (ACBM) in schools or public and commercial buildings.  The Project Designer engages in the design of project specifications for asbestos abatement projects.
The State of Florida now requires accreditation as an Asbestos Project Designer to become a Licensed Asbestos Consultant.

In Florida, Asbestos Project Designers must work under the direction of a Licensed Asbestos Consultant.

Daily breaks are scheduled. You will be allowed a one hour lunch break on your own.

The cost of the course includes course materials and the examination at the end of the course.
