Get a comprehensive look at quality-based tools, programs and procedures currently available to help you establish a proactive Environmental Management System (EMS) in your organization. Content will focus on the elements and benefits of an EMS, the key steps in developing a plan for implementation, the major pitfalls in implementation, how to integrate environmental issues into all aspects of business; as well as, ensuring continual improvement of environmental management and EMS documentation.
In addition to learning about implementing an Environmental Management System, students will learn hands-on using the Environmental Management Action Planning (EMAP) Software in the computer lab to perform an EMS self-assessment at their own organization.
FREE SOFTWARE: Course fee includes manual and EMAP software (a $295 value).
The course format includes presentations, discussion, and case studies.
Daily morning and afternoon breaks are scheduled. You are given a lunch break, please make arrangements.
 
Course Objective
At the completion of the training the student should be able to identify the steps to implement an EMS and the process for getting ISO14001 Certification.
Participant must be present for entire class time to receive CEUs and a Certificate of Attendance.

Course Instructor 
Jim Raley, MBA, REM, is co-owner of EnviroRx and is a former member of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (USTAG) to ISO Technical Committee 207. Jim has 20 years of experience in environmental management, health, safety, and hazardous materials/waste transportation programs.
