Learn proven accounting and management techniques and strategies that can be used to introduce Environmental (i.e. Green) Accounting methodologies into your organization. Green Accounting has been demonstrated as a value-added tool in reducing costs and regulatory burdens, while improving recovery of dollars spent on environmental programs.
Focusing on applying Environmental (Green) Accounting techniques as a management tool, you will learn how to identify and reduce environmental management and regulatory costs and potentially recover more of the dollars spent on environmental programs. Plus, you will review proven management strategies to assist you in introducing environmental accounting methodologies into your organization.
Covered topics include:
  • Assignment vs. allocation of environmental costs
  • Case studies using Green Accounting Management Software in the computer lab
  • Investment recovery strategies
  • Strategies for selecting the "right" raw materials suppliers
  • Product life cycle considerations
The format for the course includes instructor presentations and case study applications using the Green Accounting software in the computer lab.
FREE SOFTWARE: Materials include Green Accounting Management Software (a $349 value) and course manual.
Daily morning and afternoon breaks are scheduled. You are on your own for lunch.

Course Objective
At the completion of the training the student should be able to identify accounting and management techniques that can be used to introduce Environmental (Green) Accounting methodologies into your organization.
 
Participant must be present for entire class time to receive CEUs and a Certificate of Attendance.

Course Instructor
Jim Raley, MBA, REM, is co-owner of EnviroRx and is a former member of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (USTAG) to ISO Technical Committee 207. Jim has 20 years of experience in environmental management, health, safety, and hazardous materials/waste transportation programs.
