This one-day course is based on the most current EPA Model Curriculum. This course updates you on pertinent information in the lead abatement industry. The course reviews the curriculum topics of the initial course, as well as specific information pertaining to this discipline. Topics include: review of the lead supervisor/contractor curriculum topics, regulatory update, model accreditation plan, state update, RCRA disposal, commercial and industrial exposure studies, and report on XRF and detection methods.
As required by EPA, the course includes:
- An overview of the current safety practices relating to lead-based paint activities in general, as well as specific information pertaining to this discipline.
- Current laws and regulations relating to lead-based paint activities in general, as well as specific information pertaining to this discipline.
- Current technologies relating to lead-based paint activities in general, as well as specific information relating this discipline.
US-EPA requires refreshers every three years.
PREREQUISITES: US-EPA Region 4 requires documentation of your Florida approved initial EPA-approved training course accreditation certificate and any refresher re-accreditation certificates. These must be submitted with your registration form.
Daily breaks provided. You are on your own for lunch.
Course Objective
Upon successful completion of the course, including exam, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. You must be in attendance for entire course to receive continuing education credit and a Certificate of Completion.
Who Should Attend
This course is for lead supervisors and contractors who perform work in the state of Florida in target housing or child-occupied facilities to must receive their re-accreditation certificate every three years.
