UF TREEO is dedicated to helping protect the environment for future generations by incorporating sustainable practices in all aspects of our operations.

UF TREEO has provided Excellence in Environmental Training to hundreds of thousands students throughout the last three decades. Today, as UF TREEO continues to develop quality training programs to help future students achieve their continuing education and professional goals, we are placing a greater emphasis on sustainability.

Being sustainable, or "green," is rapidly becoming a mainstream best management practice, and here are some of the things UF TREEO is doing to integrate sustainability into our mission:

• The UF TREEO Center is registered as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, Existing Building (LEED EB) project
• Utilizing compostable flatware (eating utensils).
• Recycling all paper and paper products
• Recycling plastic bottles and aluminum cans
• Reusing name tags
• Turning the heating/air conditioning off when the room is not occupied
• Turning lights off when the room is not occupied
• Utilizing energy efficient lighting
• Implementing an Environmental Management System (EMS) for our operations
• Implementing green practices in our classes, conferences and other events
• Utilizing the web and email more instead of printing and distributing materials, and utilizing recycled paper when we do print
