Solid Waste

The University of Florida, Training, Research and Education for Environmental Occupations (UF/TREEO) offers a variety of courses for those in the waste management industry to meet their initial and annual training requirements. Our training programs for hazardous and solid waste comply with regulatory requirements for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

Engineering PDH's available

Florida Statutes require that engineers complete eight hours of continuing education per renewal cycle.

  • Four hours of Florida's engineering laws and rules
  • Four hours in the licensee's area of practice

The University of Florida, Training, Research and Education for Environmental Occupations (UF TREEO) is an approved FBPE continuing education provider. There are many UF/TREEO courses that are approved for FBPE professional development hours, this is indicated in the individual course description. UF/TREEO also offers the FBPE required course Laws and Rules for Florida Engineers in November of each even year. If you are interested in earning engineering continuing education credit, please bring your license number and photo identification with you to class.
