Karen has been with the University of Florida Division of Continuing Education since 1971. She spent approximately 25 years in the Department of Independent Study and Distance Education where her duties included budgetary management, administrative management, personnel (recruitment, training, and supervision), marketing, management information systems development, curriculum development, and making and interpreting policy. Since 1997 she has worked at the UF/TREEO as a coordinator of Asbestos, Lead, and Indoor Air Quality courses.

Karen is currently a member of the National Environmental Information Association, the Lead & Environmental Hazards Association, and the Society of Government Meeting Professionals, since 1998.

Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in professional management and a master of business administration from Nova University, Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
